GalleryONE: Linescape
Linescape forms part of a series of miniature yet significant studies on the disappearing links between nature and human space, efforts to rekindle this and how climate change is fighting its way through. Penny takes some imagery from early work on city structures and reinterprets them.

hidden energies in cityscape
Electric Scape
Cuttings of buildings and structures are placed and interwoven, each to create a version of the modern city, tall and thin, with a feel that they are physically joined, though also linked by the energy the exude.Torn, scratched and generally distressed to form elements that jar the eye, as the slick modern city is cut apart.

Cuttings of buildings and structures are cut, and torn, scratched and generally distressed to form elements that jar the eye, as the modern city takes on hot colours, uneven edges and mountain like forms. the sky figures prominently in three of these and the river in the other, reflecting the sky we can't see.
There is a passion in this series as nature pushes its way into the corporate world and the natural parts contrast with a change of media.
